New Neighbors: Biographies of Contemporary Migration in Istria
In the second edition of the CONTACT ZONE program, we plan to explore and develop an exhibition on the phenomenon of new migrations in our territory. These migrations have made everyday encounters and interactions with individuals from different parts of the world a part of our lives, yet we know very little or almost nothing about them. The aim of the project is to investigate this phenomenon and document the personal experiences, life stories, motivations, journeys, and living and working conditions of our new fellow citizens and neighbors. The collected materials and resources will serve as the foundation for a thematic exhibition and an accompanying publication.
The research and exhibition project New Neighbors will begin in early 2025. If you would like to get involved in any way, please contact the project leaders with your ideas.
