On the move - about traveling merchants through, and in Istria

Through four thematic units, the exhibition points to phenomena and segments from the world of moving trade that took place in Istria and the surrounding area within the 20th century, with an emphasis on rural areas.

How and where it moved and who and what sold everything is shown in the first and largest section that emphasizes the trade on the go. The next unit refers to fairs as indispensable places for trade, and at the same time with a significant social role. Despite the patriarchal system, women have often played a very important and decisive role in the domain of trade, which is what the female side of trade is all about. The last topic is illegal trade, which, although a secret, has always been present in the everyday life of the inhabitants of Istria.
